Liposuction Surgery
On July 8, 2020 by adminBefore you undergo liposuction surgery, there are some things you should know and some common misconceptions about the procedure. If you are considering this form of body contouring, here are the facts that should help you decide if it is the right thing for you.
Most people are surprised to learn that liposuction surgery is a form of minor cosmetic surgery. It is a surgical operation performed on the fat tissue in the body. The reasons for it are a combination of convenience and safety.
For many years women have had tight jeans and clothing to help them hide their bodies. After all, tight clothing can often hide the shape of the body. Liposuction is like that, but it is done on the actual fat tissue rather than on clothing.
Liposuction is not a procedure that offers instant results. It is an active procedure, not something that can be done at home in the bathtub. After the surgery the patient will not look like they did before the procedure. They may lose a little weight and may lose it quickly, but the results are not instantaneous.
Safe liposuction usually involves placing the surgeon under local anesthesia. This allows the doctor to perform the surgery without having to worry about an infection and without being concerned about their own safety.
While most patients are aware that liposuction is done with healthy individuals,it is not a “miracle procedure” for those who are afraid of plastic surgery. Liposuction surgery is not invasive, and it is not meant to completely remove fat from a patient’s body.
Patients who have problems with their circulatory system may not be able to do liposuction surgery. Also,if they have a history of high blood pressure or diabetes, their risk of complications is greater than a patient who does not have these conditions.
One of the first things you should be aware of is that liposuction surgery can be quite painful. This is particularly true if the fat was removed by suction.
During the procedure, the surgeon may use a “fat laser” to burn away the extra fat cells in the area of the body they are going to work on. The fat cells will eventually fall off in two to three weeks. The fat can then be absorbed back into the body through the skin.
When liposuction surgery is performed on patients who are older than 50,the incision can be more difficult to make. Instead of using local anesthesia, the surgery may require a general anesthetic to help with the pain. That means the surgeon has to be alert to the patient’s mood during the procedure.
Many patients are concerned about complications after the surgery. In general, the risks are minimal and include blood clots, excessive bleeding, damage to other organs, infection, and possibly loss of taste and sight.
If you are considering liposuction surgery, don’t be afraid to ask your surgeon questions about it. A good surgeon will have enough experience to answer your questions about liposuction.
